Program Overview 

　　This program aims to cultivate students with a certain level of science and culture, good humanistic quality, professional ethics and innovation consciousness, strong employability and ability of sustainable development, outstanding English communication ability, and broad international vision. Mastering the professional knowledge and technical skills, innovative and decision-making ability, strong analysis ability and problem-solving ability, can carry on the reasonable planning and management skills in a team of international business talents.

　　*BUSN119 Fundamentals of Business: Students gain a broad knowledge of global business concepts, theories, and practices, including human resources, operations management, marketing, accounting, and finance etc.

　　*INTL 220 International Business Concepts: Students will learn about the problems that companies face in doing business in a global environment and how to make the right decisions.

　　*OMGT129 Introduction to Supply Chain and Business Operations: Students will learn about the operations and management activities of Canadian companies and how the entire supply chain operates. 

　　*INTL234 Corporate Social Responsibility in International Business: Students will learn the history and development of corporate social responsibility and gain a deep understanding of its purpose in creating sustainable economic development and social value. 

　　*INTL224 International Business Communication and Seminars: Students will learn a variety of cross-cultural communication skills, including interpersonal relationships and interpersonal communication skills, that are needed to be successful in international business activities.

　　*MKGT332 International Marketing: Students will learn how to conduct marketing activities in a global environment and how to effectively deal with the problems of globalization.

　　Upon completion of this International Business program, students may be eligible for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation, in accordance with the process prescribed by the Forum for international Trade Training (FITT), as well as the Canadian International Freight Forwarding Association (CIFFA) certificate, in accordance with the process prescribed by CIFFA.

　　IB program includes language, academic skills and some relatively basic professional courses which help students smooth transition from a local college to a Canadian college. Our teaching is fully integrated with overseas teaching, the key and difficult points are mainly taught in class while non-key content is left for students to study independently after class. In addition, the selction of teaching content emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, highlighting the application of knowledge, so that students can truly experience the close connection between the course content and the actual economic life, so as to generate a strong interest in learning, as far as possible to reduce the fear of learning in English.

　　Being a member of the International Business team definitely elevate my teaching professionalism. When I teach Principles of Marketing as well as International Marketing, I integrate my personal global experiences with the Canadian perspectives. Being involved in the Centennial programs provide me with the opportunities to interact with multi-cultural background students. I also get to learn from them. Another advantage is the fact that being able to work with the Canadian colleagues prompts my teaching to be more diverse. We regularly exchange teaching materials and ideas. It’s a fruitful experience.

　　With multiple-year teaching, I have always been surprised by pragmatic value of IB program. It helps students better understand life patterns, improve English skills, fully command basic business knowledge so that they can make appropriate decisions in a complex situation. In particular, Econ 302 this course provides the student with a broadly based introduction to Economics. It covers the basic microeconomic and macroeconomic tools that are necessary to analyze economic issues. It emphasizes an applied approach to learning basic economic principles. Current issues are used to illustrate the market system, various forms of business organizations, monetary and fiscal policies and international trade. I hope students can enjoy the course because academy can be interesting and fascinating.
